How did the 1970s 345 series vacuum with automatic check bag light and plug wheel differ from the later 1990s d775 counterpart in terms of design operation and other features including bags used ?

Update to my question

Yes both of them are European make the 345 made i n UK d775 made in Brazil in why my mom owned .

interesting-

the cutaway picture looks like it take regular electrolux bags too. did they have a powerhead?

Both were available in Europe

The 345 was stopping the motor when the bag was full or acordingly the selection of the button in front of the cleaner. The middle part was full metall with a plastic coating.
There was an other Version Z325 with additional power outlet and different colour scheme.
The D775 was with larger bag and micro filtration (special filter on the exhaust) In Europe we had the D790/795 with additional electronic / automatic control of motor speed. This models were possible to upgrade with a Hepa Filter after the bag.

Powerhead as accessory

Yes the powerhead was available as accessory for the models with power outlet.
There was also an airdriven turbo head for all models without power outlet
But probably not available in all countries.
Will make a pic of the powerhead

Powerhead

The powerhead looked like that. This was the one for the successor D820 Lux1 Royal
Also attached a picture of the D775 European Version made in Sweden
