Electrolux 1453

For my AP, SAP, and Eureka 1740 I just coil it in a circle and use a velcro cable tie. Works great, I usually attach the tie to the handle or something so its not flowing everywhere. I don't like to leave the cord wrapped around anything with sharp-ish corners/abrupt turns for too long, I don't like the idea of wires stretching. That's just OCD klectrolux talking.

Take a peak at the link below, I do suggest velcro ties, they are not harsh and are really useful for a bunch of other things too.

I have some old 50 series cords coiled in a circle and tied with garbage bag twist ties, laid flat in a drawer. The upright I have suffers from sharp bends in the cord where it winds around the top and bottom of the handle. This is why God, or possibly Professor Doctor Electrolux, gave us the automatic cord winder.

Seriously, though, the Velcro ties do look like a possibility.

I believe there were 3 of these? Brown for olympia, silver for silverado and crean for diamond J. Didn't the first 2100 replace this as the low end for the marque?
Anyhow I have all 3 of these and love them.

Not sure about the U.S., but the 2100 in Canada was the TOL machine, and the LE the basic.

Bob's right. It was the LE that replaced them, not the 2100.

I have a brochure somewhere that shows the brown 1453 with an optional cord reel as well.

Was thinking, after getting this basic machine, and seeing Dave's new 86...wouldn't adding on all of the extras (i.e. cord reels, electric hoses, power nozzles, etc) bring the price of these basic machines very close to the TOL?
