have turquoise automatic g runs superb
need cord that wraps around hose from powerhead to canister

Indeed my alert bells went off immediately I noted the same email address:
[email protected]
and location: Reno NV

Recall the troll last week that tried to pin his obnoxious nuisance twitterthreads, now expunged, on his unfortunate War Vet 'sister' Majesty? When in fact the same person wrote all the entries.

It's almost become an Annual Tradition that trolls from lesser Vacuum Clubs join, lurk and begin to attempt to stir up mischief in the weeks leading up to the VCCC Convention. Do not be misled - they are among us even now...
The pattern is predictable and we must be vigilant as well as indifferent.

Making it doubly important for recent new members to fill in their profiles and practice accurate grammar and spelling in their posts, lest you be painted with the same brush of dismissal.

I agree just on a matter of principle that member profiles should be filled out as a requirement for membership, at least with their REAL name, general place of origin (city, state etc.) and a verifiable email address.

If people are concerned about getting spam or attracting internet boogie men, there are plenty of free email services through which one could very easily obtain an email address to be used just for this forum.

Securing a special email address is not rocket science. Many of them provide forwarding services so the emails could automatically be directed, invisibly, to the user's primary email account. That would relieve the necessity of logging onto multiple email services. Perhaps in the "new member qualifications" page, a list of suggested free email services could be listed.

Every other on-line group I belong to or have belonged to in the past has required AT LEAST these levels of screening.

It also might be worth considering that members of this forum be required to put -something- in their profiles indicating their area of interest, perhaps only in a general way. That would provide another good "filtering tool" for trolls and pests.

I will say, our Beloved Webmasters, past and present, have been doing an excellent job of keeping the place free of evildoers. But why not "head 'em off at the pass" with stricter join-up requirements?

Perhaps this could be discussed at the upcoming meeting.

At times like these, all you can do is wear your pants on your head, stick pencils up your nose, and say, Wibble... :P

Fred called me from work and asked me to help with this. This user is now banned.

Charles, I'm not sure where you got the idea that we don't do email verification, but that is incorrect, all new users must respond to a verification email before they can log-in. Also their location is a required field.

This is the hose needed for a Model G; if U want to use a power nozzle.

Although the genuine Lux hose is pricey, at least the hose handle swivels & has suction relief valve.
