VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

I would love to have the DC03 clears, I am in Birmingham! :D
However I dont want a whole bunch of crappy DC02's

The biggest problem with most of these is that the sellers aren't prepared to post them, and the ones you want are always at the other end of the country. If sellers were prepared to post their vacs, they might stand a better chance of selling them.

Thanks for the positive responses guys....

Steve, thats always the problem if you really want something. There will be one right on the other side of the country! And of course, once you've waited ages for something, you will pay lots for it then all of the sudden more will appear from the woodwork at a better price! I suppose it's Murphy's Law really...

There are som ways around this postage issue.
Message them about how you collect vacuums and how you just have to have "this" one and that it is to far to collect so could you (the seller) post it and that you (the buyer) could arange your own courier if need be.

If it is still a no then...balls to em, their loss.

I agree with Alex..

I often message sellers asking if i can arrange a courier, and 9/10 they are happy to oblige!

Its sometime just hit or miss to whether they pack the its well enough for its journey.

Alex has been unlucky with some of his items, with couriers smashing wheels and casings galore. I'd prefer if I can to collect in person, but it does limit what I can buy.
