Hello. I am a new member, so forgive me if this should be posted in another part of this site. I am selling a 1920s AirWay with all original everything. It is the model with the airplanes on the bag. This machine was the first vacuum to have a disposable bag. It's still in there! Its wheels have engraved writing, which is hard to see in the photos. I don't know how much it would cost to ship this, but if you are interested in adding this machine to your collection, we can figure that out later. Thanks for reading my ad. James

That's a 1929 model F. They sold for $69 new. That model has sleeve bearings. Do NOT run the machine without first putting grease (Vaseline works great) in the two grease cups located underneath the motor. Your machine is in very nice condition for its age. The handle is removable (for shipping). When you sell and ship the machine, be sure to remove the indicator (the part with the arrow on it) and place it in a separate box with padding to protect it. That part is irreplaceable and easily damaged during shipping.

The AirWay

Thank you for your interest in this machine, and a huge thank you to dysonman1 for the model information and the tips on the motor and disassembly for shipping.

I turned it on 18 YEARS ago, and never once since. It still has its original paper bag in there and I didn't want to mix old dirt with new (grin). Now knowing it should have its motor greased, I am not going to turn it on, although I am sure it runs. It has been in warm, dry storage all of that time (Ok, I'll say it... collecting dust).

I have to let tolivac have first chance at this since he reached out first.

And sorry for the delay. I just joined/donated and then your messages appeared.

I am adding 14 more photos taken at my storeroom and on its balcony (yeah, it has a balcony for some reason, but the AirWay is stored inside). I need to note that the indicator has a very, very slight hairline about an inch long, but it is not missing any cellulite, nor is there a gap. You can see it in the pics.

I would be happy to get $125 for this machine, plus whatever the heck it costs to get it safely from me to you.

You can reach me at 650-319-5796. My name is James. Thanks again!

Shipping Vacuums

Thank you all for your interest and for the information. I am working with tolivac to see if we can get this machine to him. Please let me know if you have suggestions on shipping a vacuum and what has worked well for you. Thank you. James
