Hello all. Ive been lurking and reading for a while, and never had anything to contribute. But the time has come!

My wife's great grandmother passed a few years back and we have been sorting through the house. Among our discoveries was a closet full of Kirby Vacuums.

This i believe is the earliest model, my research leading me to believe it is a model 505 through 511. The I.D. tag is missing from the machine, or i am overlooking it {i think its gone}

The vacuum is unrestored, but seems to be in working condition. The motor works, the bag inflates, the headlight shines. The impeller is metal and has 6 blades. I installed a fresh belt and the brush roll spins as well.

The electric cord appears to be original and unmolested.

Carpet Nozzle and Buffer Head are Included.

The nozzles have different logos on them, I'm not sure which is original to the machine. Both fit and trip the safety interlock switch allowing the motor to run. The hose attaches and also trips the safety interlock switch.

Included in the accessory kit is the handle to convert to a canister style/handheld machine.

Asking $250.00 plus actual shipping cost. Free Local Pickup {Peoria, Arizona}

Thanks
Brandon

I would like to see the other machines as well. Remember he did say they found a closet full of Kirby vacuums and was unsure what was original to the machine. It does appear the bag was replaced. and that machine would have had a cloth covered hose. I believe the attachments are the correct color for the machine. The Belt lifters are the wrong color. They would have been black.

I have no idea what is what! Ill post a picture of the big pile of parts. I noticed the lifters had different logos. But the Nozzles from the other machines were wider where the tangs hook onto the bar that hold it on, and the other nozzles would not depress the safety switch allowing the motor to run.

I sorted through the parts by attaching {or attempting to attach} the various pieces to each machine. The ones that would fit it, and allow it to work got lumped together.

I figured i would post it up, and let the collectors sort it out! You guys will know what it is or is not much better than i can. I found a picture of a 511 Sanitation System and thats what i was basing my guesses off of.

I just wanted to offer it to you guys before it gets parted out on ebay or scrapped altogether. We are moving and have no way to take all of her Grams "Treasures" with us. I would hate to think there was some rare or useable parts that someone needed and it just got tossed in the scrap pile. Being a car guy, i know that feeling all too well.

Thanks!

P.S. The other two vacuums are clearly marked Classic III 2-CB, and Heritage II 2HD. Other box of accessories is marked Legend II Reno Group.
