I was cleaning up some items that I purchased from another collector’s estate recently. Among them were several Electrolux power nozzles. Mostly the L shaped ones and a few vintage ones. I’ve never seen a PN 1 with this bearing setup before. It must be an earlier version. It runs so quietly I thought it had a bad motor when I first plugged it into one of my 1205s for testing. All of my other PN 1s have the bearings with the toothed plate retainer.

Yes, that is the first version power nozzle. Originally, the cord would have ran all the way to the machine. It actually uses the smaller bearing. In all the old parts catalogs, two bearings are listed. Large or small. Not many of those around today. Congratulations.

Next time,

I service one of mine i will post pictures ive got both versions, As Tom said, the first version had a long cord with plastic snap on clips you had to put on the hose and remove every time, the AF power nozzle was a light grey with grey trim.

I will have to check mine. I seem to remember getting a power nozzle that had those clips on it but I didn't think anything abnormal about it.

The second version had the snap clips

But also had a receptical at the hose grip so you could unplug the pn without taking the entire cord off everytime the third version had the vinyl straps that held the cord pretty much permanently.
