Many thanks Ted, (ABCVacPlacentia), for your insightful and calming post. You speak for many of us, "old timers", that never post anymore or have left the VCCC. Prior to the current crop of posters, when this website and it's forerunner were new, it was a fun place where members exchanged information and nonthreatening opinions.

Of course there was an element of dissention and the past moderator(s) and current owner/moderator kept things civil. When the club and web site separated, and the web site became more accessible on the world wide web, new folks came along.

Sometimes it seems as you clearly pointed out, that this is a hobby--it is supposed to be fun! Not really a place for the, "sacred unmentionables"--sex, religion, politics and money. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but others opinions should be respected as well. Sometimes to play nice, we have to agree to disagree and move on.

I look at this site periodically, (probably as most of the old members/posters do too), and am sometimes very disappointed by the banality and bickering. Which then, reminds me why I left. Tom Gasko is a friend and an invaluable source of information. He has been extremely generous to the club, the web site and visitors to the museum. I suspect he will continue in this vein. I'm glad you pointed out that he does, indeed, have a life outside of vacuums!

I still enjoy my vintage vacuums and my, "vintage vacuum friends"! How refreshing to see a new poster put things so succinctly at the onset. Many thanks.

All i  can say is im sorry for all the bumping tread and tenssion all i wanted personnaly i speak for me here.Is a manual now i have it im over the moon .Now vacuum cleanrs of all kind or shape are interesting to me. And  im so glad some members helped me get my final part .Now hopefully we can get past this and enjoy our cleaners again and have fun whit out having anymore issues.The reason i asked here is i knew so many people see this site and talk about vacuums i knew some one some were must have the part i need .Now if i upset anyone by asking alot im sorry trully .happy vacuuming to all.

It’s good to ‘hear’ from you/ people who used to be active on here. As I Peru’s to the old posts I noticed many names that we don’t see posting anymore, well your insight that you stated, might, add insight to what’s going on with them too. I hope it improves here and you members from the recent past return to add to the discussion/fun/knowledge base again

You came to join the drama. I kicked up a fuss because he was posting even being like he is wait until someone falls. It was 2 days after I was told he would be in. I didn't comment until he chose to poke at me about holy macrow thread.
I also don't wear panties I wear boxers like real men. Tom had time to go through half his cannisters and post on the thread. So he was sitting back not helping. To anyywho thinks I'm entitled yes I live in America and its our right to be entitled to what we earn.
Tom is a pessimist grumpy person. That's what I see. I called him out because the vcccc he helped found but he can post pics being a smart ace and not help other people. That's my beef.
If you don't like the thread don't read it.
It's a thread trying to obtain info. People blew it up making fun of others. Maybe you like to sit back and not help. Who in the effect are you to judge anyone. I only judge on others actions.
If your going to side with others great I really don't care. I said my piece if Tom has an issue he can address it. I didn't make fun of him I stated exactly what he did. To say he is busy wtf. Taking pics of vacuums.
I called him out. This is an informative board. I have earned everything I have my whole life. I was not raised with silver spoon copper spoon probably a plastic spoon. You know what I made a life for myself and I help people. If all you came here to do is troll move on. If Tom got his feelings hurt tough. You help people and spread good cheer and knowledge. I don't have social media because I talk to who I talk to.
If your running in here to save someone drop the mic turn around and go out the same door you came in on.
Anybody else has a beef grow up. Just because some people thrive off drama and cutting people down grow up. If you don't like the post don't read it. If you have a problem wait there is always a problem if you are always looking.
For love of all that is holy stop if you can't act grown up pretend. Stop the drama. Just stop everybody on here is done with this thread.
This is America it's a message board with the best vacuum minds in the world. Let's help each other out. If you aren't going to help don't come on causing problems. Everyone is flawed.
