Dyson Washable Filter

I washed my DC24 motors and left it for 30 odd hours to dry. I put the filters back and tested the machine and the 'lid' of the cyclone assy was wet and I noticed that droplets were in the tube going down into the motor area.

Am very worried that I have done damage to the machine. I took the cyclone assy off and run the machine for a minute without anything on machine to clear it through and will let it dry. The motor sounds fine. Is it likely that the motor will get badly damaged by a few droplets? I can only imagine rust building up.

When we still had the DC04 prior to me assisting it's suicide, I used to sit the filters on a radiator to dry (or in the summer, on a high shelf in the workshop), to prevent any moisture remaining within the material, if you get water inside the vac, it's not the end of the world, just get it heated up somehow (place in a warm airing cupboard, blast it with a hairdryer, place it in a hot shed (though given that winter's returned, the last one would be difficult!!)) to evaporate the water as quickly as possible, leaving it to slowly evaporate can lead to corrosion and further problems, so get it dried ASAP....

It looks like its fine now. I left it a few days and vacuumed the house today and it was just fine
