DYSON TO MERGE WITH KIRBY!!!

VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

No, you are talking what you normally do...

I just REPLIED to THAT bloody THING Y.O.U SAID
I MEANT that:
Afraid? Of what? Everything I've ever said is in black and white for everyone to see in the archives if they so desire. I have nothing to hide.
The Dyson carpet washing thread has been DELETED.

AND

Like I said, if you have a problem with anything I've said, you need to bring it it with me, not the whole forum.
No, I would rather not, I never said I have a problem with you, and if I did, I doubt I would be the only one. It's just the stuff on VL, not that we are linked outside of VL anyways!!!

There is NOTHING to say to that. I either didn't know or don't remember that the thread was deleted. Either way, I still stand by what I said.

Right so you have no problem and we have no connection outside of vacuumland. Both facts that don't warrant a response.

Good. Great. Done. End of conversation.

Hope this helps

Well, I've been sitting back and enjoying reading this vacuum war of opinions.

First, I need to say something to Mr. Olive Oil who just needs to chill out: Nowhere in this thread did I say European Vacuums were CRAP, because that's just not true.

Chris, whom I have great respect for said European Vacs such as Sebo, Miele, etc. are best suited for European homes and American Vacs are best suited for American homes and I agree with him on that 100%. I wish I had the money to buy a Sebo Felix, because I would love try one out.

I also have respect for Tayyab who loves his Dysons and with that I will say that Dysons as well as any other bagless vacs are NOT my cup of tea!

Marcus, I believe was the instigator in all this if you read his statements in Reply #16 #17 and #18. And I went a little overboard in my Reply #22. I Retaliated on Marcus comment #16 but I did not intend to hurt anyone's feelings and if I did I'm sorry. I just thought this would be a friendly little debate. So we should all respect each other's opinions, let bygones be bygones and try to get along.

Don't blame it in the sunshine don't blame it on the moonlight don't blame it on the good times blame it on Marcus :-)

You blow hot and cold quickly sptyks. Right, we understand you are not fond of Dyson and you like Kirbys, but on every other thread you are bashing some other brand of vacuum that isn't Kirby and seem to belittle people who maybe do not like either bagged vacuums or kirbys. This is a vacuum forum, not a Kirby forum, not a dyson forum.

However, you have apologised, I think some people have gone a little over board. Just depressing that would should have turned out to be a friendly joke has turned into this. Way to ruin it.

Olive, You seem not to be able to hold your steam very well, but I guess that is because you are so young and have not learned to be civil. You should be careful whose toes you step on since you have misrepresented your age in your profile. I have ways of knowing this. You would have us believe you are 28 years old when you are in fact only 18 which would explain why you represent yourself so immaturely. So maybe you should grow up a little before you come out here to play with the big boys!

Turbo500,

I do agree with everything you say. May I quickly mention that I believed the no loss of suction thing. It wasn't true. Wow Only Cinetic cyclones don't lose suction. The only sucker was me for buying into their advertising before. I won't be again and I do dislike the fact Dysons do not go flat to the floor.

I recently moved house and since then my Dyson DC24 filters have required washing every single week cos the pre motor filter clogs and physically lifts itself up inside the housing - allowing dust onto the HEPA filter. I thought it was advertised as no loss of suction or clogging. Marketing is a very powerful tool.

Used Sebo since and it's gone on and on and on. It's not as exciting to look at but it's great and gets on with the job. No messy bins to empty. Even with the easy to empty bin, I never liked emptying my Dysons.

Happy ya'll have a happy Easter holidays.

Buy yourself one Kirby and it will last you for the rest of your natural life and beyond! Or you can buy a Dyson over and over again until the junkyard is full of them. The only thing is, Mr. Dyson is laughing all the way to the bank AND THAT'S NO APRIL FOOL'S JOKE!!!

Oh dear you state such rubbish. You don't know anything about me. This is a god damn vacuum forum, not an electoral vote register. Is it that important everyone knows my real date of birth? I live independently, my father died in October and I am now supporting myself and my little sister. I am more civilised that a lot of people will ever be especially on here, I have had no choice. Because if this, I really struggle when people get into a hissy fit about a vacuum cleaner, specifically, a joke about one, so no, I do control my "steam" well, but I don't when there are idiots and morons such as you who thinks because he has a Kirby the sun shines out of their backside and tries to belittle people because they have a view or opinion which opposes yours.

Just a teeny tiny disclaimer, I grew up in a house with a Kirby. My in laws have one also and since I started collecting, I've had a D80, Tradition, Legend 2, G4 & G6. I only kept the D80, I wasn't taken with any of the others.
