DYSON TO MERGE WITH KIRBY!!!

I would love to see a bagless Kirby. Not that I'm a Kirby fan, but it might improve sales - it's hard to find many Normal Regular Average people who want a bagged cleaner today. Plus Kirby bags are $10 for 2 bags. A Multi-Cyclonic Kirby would be awesome. It will never happen, Kirby's engineering department is too busy trying to save a few pennies by making the handle with less metal, to worry about actual improvements to the system.

Kirby will manufacture only the finest floor care system money can buy, therefore they  will never consider making a bagless vacuum cleaner of any type. Bagless vacs have too many failure points. There are too many rubber seals that deteriorate over the years causing loss of suction and dust leakage. Also there is no practical way to make a bypass air bagless vacuum that can produce the amount of airflow and cleaning ability as the current Direct air Kirby.

The rumour I hear is that Warren Buffett (via Berkshire Hathaway) is in talks to buy Dyson. Clearly Dyson has some upward potential, but the company has been poorly managed and has no focus. James will continue on in an advisory role, but will step down as CEO. Obviously Dyson will not be merging with Kirby, but it (Dyson) will soon be a part of Buffet's empire. Will be interesting to see if the stock takes off or plunges when the news hits. Too soon to tell if there will be any cross-breeding between the companies post-merger. they could offer an optional bagless conversion for Kirby, if only to get rid of that pesky Keeler guy. there are talks of using it for demos (better than the little coffee filters) and/or for wet pick up. They've added the bare floor cleaner, but they really need a way to suck up the liquids. The high end Kirby bagless conversion will likely offer an aromatherapy option in order to provide customers with a way to purchase consumables. sorry, but I can't add anymore details at this point.
