Hi All,

I have managed to break to the Swivel Lock on my Dyson DC24 when I was vacuuming 2 years ago and managed to break the piece of plastic on the front that keeps the machine stable when it is standing upright.

Now when I use the machine, the whole machine keeps on tipping side to side. I don't really use my DC24 anymore as I use the V8 Absolute mainly.

I would like to replace the Swivel Lock myself. Dos anyone have experience of dismantling the DC24? or replacing the Swivel Lock? Has anyone done this before?

Many thanks

If the part is not physically broken or cracked, try tightening all the screws down there. Seems like there's one that makes that straighten up.

Sorry, I don't have one I can put my hands on right now, but am familiar with that issue and have rarely ordered that item to correct it.

If yours is broken and you do have to replace it, it won't be hard.
