I wanna see proof that Dyson outcleans Hoover, cause I am definitely not aboard that ship.
I appreciate that Dyson has the best bagless cyclonic machine on the market. I appreciate that while a Dyson does lose suction, it is maintain more of it for a much longer duration of time in comparison with the rest of the bagless market. However, their baseplates are a disgrace and their use of agitation although better than the past still needs work.
Please note that I have not intention of trying the Shark Navigator. It's ugly, looks more like a toy, and I've heard terrible things about their other vacuums. The Shark Steam mop with interchangeable cleaning heads that one of my clients has from them is completely useless. I use an H20 Steam mop instead.
However, in my book a bagless Dyson does NOT outclean a decent Hoover. Notice my use of the word "decent." As Hoover is a brand that makes machines to fit several budgets, some machines clean terrific and some other models not so much. With a Hoover, generally the more expensive the machine, the better the cleaning power. The exception to that rule for them is the Tempo upright U5140-900 which is an excellent, powerful cleaner. It's not advertised but it has Windtunnel technology.
I am unhappy that Hoover is outsourcing a lot of their brush rolls to CWP. I think CWP is a good generic manufacturer but I still like Hoover agitators. Their bristle configurations and material were good. They only needed better sealing for bearings and improving their thin plastic endcaps.
For my clients and personal usage, my carpets look the best and feel cleanest after a Hoover has been used on them. Not my Riccar 1700, not my Bissell PowerForce upright, not my Kirby G4, not my Kenmore Whispertone canister, but a Hoover sweeps, cleans and grooms them the best!
