Hi guys,
I've recently been on a research quest that has left me full of questions and little answers.
So I have a V7. I'm considering getting extra motorheads for it (e.g. the small one or the soft roller). I realise that whatever accessory I'm getting it'll need to be the one with the red Quick Release button thingy. I found a small motorhead on eBay that I know the seller has from their V8. At this moment I'm assuming it should change much whether it's a V7 or a V8 since they're practically the same machines (right? right???).
But then I go on Dyson's website and I see that they sell them as two different items - a V7 motorhead and a V8/V10 motorhead. On top of that, they also differ in price by a few pounds (the latter being 4 quid cheaper).
Why? Is there a difference in voltage? Is the electric fitting ever so slightly different? I emailed Dyson (i procrastinate a lot when I have assignments due okay) and they gave me a very vague response of 'they're just dedicated for different machines'.
Has anyone ever tried interchanging their motorised tools between a V7, V8 and a V10? How did it go? Did anything explode? Did James just turn up out of the blue to shout at you?
