Oh, okay. I don't know much about Vorwerks and every one I've ever seen looks like it's direct air. They aren't common where I live and I'm not even sure if they are able to be purchased new here.

Vorwerks were all direct air machines up untill the launch of the VK130. Vorwerks were known for their quality and motors that lasted forever. This all changed when they went clean air design. Here in SA the motor failure rate was horrific. I had never seen so many vorwerks with burnt out motors. The new Vk 140 was a huge improvement but was way to noisy and customers who were used to the silence of previous vorwerks did not like this.
