Just thought I'd share my good luck with you all.....
I've had a DC55 Total Clean model before, but after a few months I sold it on and bought something else.
Here's the review I made of it anyway - http://www.vacuumland.org/cgi-bin/TD/TD-VIEWTHREAD.cgi?28512
Recently I've been hankering after another for use as a daily driver.
(For those of you overseas the DC55 is just a slightly higher spec version of the DC41 - supplied with a lot more tools)
Anyway I'd been eyeing them up in Currys (the DC55 Total Clean is exclusive to DSG retail group and the official Dyson store)
The price was around £409, but you got £130 off if you entered the discount code to say you were going to trade in a scrap machine, bringing the price down to around £279.
The last DC55 I bought cost me £329.99 with the trade in deal.
Anyway the other night I had a quick browse of the Currys website and saw the machine for the £409 with £130 off when you entered the trade-in code at checkout.
An hour later I see an advert on TV for Currys, saying the DC55 Total Clean is now only 279! No mention of the trade in. I thought this was odd as this wasn't the offer I'd seen on their website an hour ago.
So I whip my phone out and look it up.
They must of been in the middle of updating the offers on their website at the time because the actual price had indeed been reduced to 279 but they were still offering the extra 130 off with the trade in code!!
Ive never clicked 'add to basket' so fast in my life.
£279 minus £130 = brand new top end Dyson for £149!!!
I kept expecing them to contact me pointing out the mistake and terminating the order but the following day the machine was delivered.
Needless to say shortly after I had placed my order the error was removed from their website haha
I'm very pleased with my unexpected bargain
If I'd had more nerve I'd of ordered a few of them to sell on at a profit but didn't want to push my luck
