Dyson DC23 meets mid century modern!

I was over at my ex's house today and took my Dyson DC23 to try on his 50's black shag rugs. We have tried almost all my different vacs and they have failed to clean these rugs. The only machine that has worked so far is his old Kirby.
To my surprise when I tried my Dyson DC23 Turbin it worked like a charm. The brush did not bog down and did not damage his rugs.
Somehow the new Dyson DC23 looked real neat with his 50's stereo and tv!
A few of the things MIGHT look familair to you Fred S.!!!!
I was enjoying a beverage from a 50's aluminum tumbler too.

Dyson DC23 meets mid century modern

Here is what he has been using to clean the shag carpets. I have to say the Dyson pulled very little after he had used the old Kirby last week.

OMG!

I have the same lamps only in black with gold trim, and the bottom tier of the lamp shade is in red. I call them my Lucy-Desi lamps. I found them years ago at antique shop in Illinois. The owner had them very high on a top shelf, and was so glad she had a buyer for them, I thought she was going to kiss me! I don't think she realized what she had! I did, and out to the car we went. Nice Kirby btw, the D50 is one of my favorites.

I also have those lamps in black....shades are similar to the one in the picture.

I use a Eureka Model 2020 w/vibragroomer II, set on the "shag" setting....works great on my shag area rugs.

Wow, what a great room! Nice Predicta, glad the Dyson was kind to the mid century rug. And I'm a big lamp freak.
