Dyson DC18 repair tool

We got three of the DC18 models in this week for repair. After calling one of my vacuum buddies, he said there is some special tool to get them apart. Does anyone else know about these?

We ended up servicing the nozzle and using a snake to clean the clog out of the elbow- on all 3 machines.

The last dyson I dismantled, I used a Jeremy Clarkson Toolkit*, but, that was down to personal preference more than anything...
