Dyson DC07 without a clutch?

Now that the vacuum has been fully cleaned out, it will be joining the rest of the collection. I’m planning on ordering a new soleplate and brushroll which are surprisingly available direct from Dysons website in the US as a set. Along with that I’ll be on the lookout for color appropriate parts to replace the discolored ones. This machine came out really well for how filthy it was and I’m very happy to have it! Once I’ve filmed a video of it I’ll be sure to link it here.

Funny old world

I really wish I could help you all find your dream machines, it seems funny hearing people in USA ssy how rare the DC07s are, I am a UK collector and these machines were and still are as common as muck and the spares are still widely available. We had lots of dysons both with and without clutches but it appears thats not the case over your end. Good luck everyone finding your dream machines.

Part of the reason was Dyson took a long time to catch on here. It wasn't until at least the 2010's that Dysons became a household name. They were also so expensive that people didn't bother with it.

Finding an upright Dyson is somewhat difficult, you do not see them every day. I have NEVER seen any in 5 years of thrift store trips. Not even an accessory or tool, nothing. I got all mine off eBay when I can find them less than $50 with shipping.

Getting parts for older models is hard too, sometimes the only option is getting them from England.

Dyson DC07 Standard

I love my Dyson DC07 Standard we have had it for about 16 years and it still works I think my mum bought it brand new for our house and i use to sit and open the vacuum cupboard and sit and stare at the Dyson DC07 Standard and thats how i got into vacuums. I still have that Dyson DC07 Standard.
