I just bought a used Dyson DC07 Animal upright and the extension hose seems to be crammed up into the wand to where I cannot remove the wand from the hose. The very top of the hose has torn a few rings down and when looking up inside where the hose is jammed it seems like the plastic sleeve on the top of the hose has been chunked up or even melted into the handle. Whoever owned it before sure did a job on it trying to remove the hose from the handle, I'm guessing. Has anyone ever had this happen or know of a way to separate the hose from the handle? Thanks for any suggestions.

I'm sure there are several Dyson experts here that would have answers to your question. It is often quite beneficial to post one or more pictures of the failing part(s).

I am a Kirby and Royal expert and therefore don't have much expertise with Dyson's.

The hose is now scrap, and all that will get it out is brute force. Get some WD40 up there. Pull on the wire spring, and then pull harder. It will come out eventually.
