The Dyson I bought some weeks ago, was a DCO4 Absolute +. Today, some tinsel got into the motor, the vaccums motor noise went low, so I have no idea what next! New Motor? I'm sure twocvbloke will tell me how rubbish his was :S

Ha ha yep he sure does hate Dysons!

I'd say the tinsel jammed the fan and caused it to overheat.

jmurray01: Heard it all. Seen the video of his Diesoon.

baglessball: I removed thecyclone, and let it fly in the hole to see what would happen! Thanks for the offering of a new motor, is it from a clutchled model? Also, I suppose I could pick up, i'm in Garforth.

I tried that too, it's fun ain't it? :D

The difference between what you did and I did though is vast, I was sending screws & bolts down the hole, shame it's thermal cutout thing took over when I taped up the hole, but, can't have everything... :P

"Really!? Hahaha."

Of course, it's more obvious on clean-air motors which have thinner, weaker blades, and if the objects get past the fan blade disc, then they get into the electrics, which can cause a bit of a bang, and a blown fuse in the plug... :P

Personally, I like the Photonicinduction way (no longer on youtube sadly), where he wired in a variac to the carbon brushes only, and gradually cranked up the voltage, the results were spectacular... :D

Oh, that's cool then, shame his dyson motor video is gone though, that was my favourite... :P

Along with some of his washing machine vids, like the self-destructing one, that was funny... :D

shame on you david and jack how could you kill a vacuum on purpose? that really makes me mad when i see people destroy vacuums on purpose. expecily on this site dedicated to vacuum loving no destroying vacuums

Not everyone has to love everything everyone else does... ;)

Heck, I don't like most older Hoovers much, nor american Aerus-electroluxes, or most TTI products, so yeah, I like what I like and that's that... :)

At least I'm not like that twerp on youtube who destroys any vintage vacuum just because he has mental instability issues... :P

Try removing the bags & filters, like what we did... :P

(though being a Sebo, I wouldn't do that, cos they can actually clean without much fuss!!)
