Hi All,
Just found these pics of the old Dyson DC01 and DC04 machines that were found in the recent shed clearance.
The DC01 machine is a machine that I had found in 1998 when I was going home from school. I remember it was a horrible winters evening and I had walked about a mile up a steep hile to get home after school, it was very cold and dark and I was exhausted but I remember walking past this house and saw as DC01 standing at the side of the property. I wanted to just go and take it but felt bad so went over and made an excuse that I needed a machine for school project purposes and the owner warned me that it doesnt work but let me take it. I took it home and it was in a very poor state and stank of dog. It was chocked up with dog hair and there was no external cable and the main motor had water inside and condensation from being transfered from outside to inside. I cleaned it up but never got it repaired.
This machine looks like an original made in the middle 90s in the first ever factory on Chippenham, Wilts UK.
I also have some pics of the Dyson DC04 machine that I purchased in 2002 and lasted 8 years. This is a Malaysian made machine which I think was one of the first batch of DC04s made in Malaysia as I remember at that time I saw DC04's that were still made in the UK and it was at around this time Dyson as they were transferring all of their manufacturing of vacuum cleaners to Malaysia (the DC03 and DC05 were already being made there). I never got round to replacing the motor on the DC04 machine but I should do really and sell it on.
DC04 in use a couple of months before the motor burnt out.
