I am very concerned about the very fine dust going to the motor. I can already see there will be in the future numerous burnt motors in the Dyson Cinetics. Just why won't you Dyson put high density pre-motor filter in it??
Those very high efficiency cyclones would anyway keep the filter clean a long time. Most importantly, it would stop motor getting caked with fine dust over time and eventyally burning it up.
Very disapointed here, I have to wonder if they didn't make it no filter for bragging rights/ non maintence people? Just seems not tested out enough. Too bad.
Who cares if he is. He does some really good videos on his page for all different types and makes of vacuum cleaner.
He demonstrates the pros and cons of various machines. He demonstrated that Cinetic let some fine dust through the cyclones and onto the HEPA filter. I doubt very much that fine dust will damage the motor and it will cope just fine.
I think this can only happen with very very large amounts of fine powder vacuumed all at once like overloading it I think it can handle fine dust just fine but not in silly amounts all at once. it's like a person you can eat a cheeseburger but when you start shoving it in your mouth you're going to choke like any vacuum cleaner.and you can see in this video he has picked up large amounts of fine dust until it clogg up.
