Dyson "blueprint"

Is there something different or special about the Dyson Blueprint? I was watching it on HSN today and was sure tempted to get one.
For some reason I loved the all-white machine with the blue accents. It looked very elegant. Sort of reminded me of the Hoover Citation with the one color.
They were offering it for $429.00 with free shipping.
Also does anyone know if the Dyson Ball is easy to push?
I have the Dyson DC07 which is heavy and bulky. Also have the Dyson DC23 which I love. It looks like the Dyson "blueprint" has a very different brush roll from my DC07.

Depending on if your 07 has a clutch, the brushroll in the blueprint is far better

Rob - let me stop you there. If you found that the DC07 brush bar caused damage to your rugs (which I have to confess I find utterly mystifying, since the Hoover Windtunnel is way more aggressive than the DC07, and I've never heard you mention any damage resulting from that!), you will not like the DC25 brush-bar.

Thank's so much. I don't use my Hoover Windtunnel upstairs on my good carpets either. I have not had any problems with my Dyson DC23 Turbine Head. I was warned by carpet company that they are seeing damaged and fuzzed carpets from several of the newer machines (not all Dysons) with very aggressive brushes.
It was my DC07 that I had the problem and when the FIRST Dyson canister came out I had a similar problem on another carpet. I loved the Dyson canister with the power head so I
was excited when I was able to get a Dyson canister with the
turbine head.
I sure LOVE the design of the Dysons and I thought the "blueprint" was very elegant looking in all white.

You do wonder why they are making the new vacs with such stiff brush rolls? I guess everyone wants instant results. The machine that I have used for over 20 years is a Kirby upright and although it has a much softer brush roll, it still really vibrates the carpet (you can hear and feel it when someone uses the Kirby on the main floor and I go to the basement) You can also watch the dirt bounce on the rug in front of the Kirby (much like one of my old Hoovers)
It is exciting to see what Dyson will come out with next!

I wouldn't call the bristles used by DC07 or the DC25 'stiff' at all, but the DC25s are stiffer than the DC07 - so it figures that if you had issues with the DC07, you'll have issues with the DC25. I'd hate to see you buy an expensive cleaner only to be disappointed. Do you know anyone else who has a DC25 which you could use or borrow to try out first? Might be a better idea!

Thank you Jack!
That was such interesting information about the developement of the machine's parts.
I know my DC07 and DC23 won't be my last Dysons. You never know what they will come up with next.
I sure thought that "Blueprint" was a beautiful machine.
They were telling on the TV demo today that the bin was made of the same material as police riot shields! Quite different from the cheap plastics used on most new machines.

Yup - the bin's made from clear polycarbonate: used in police riot shields, crash helmets etc. Great for anything which needs to withstand repeated blows without shattering or deforming!

Got my friend to buy the Blueprint that was on clearance at Target, little guy did a good job on the carpet, very easy to handle, pretty quiet too.
