Duntley vacuum

I have a Duntley vacuum that
I can't find any information on
And I've tried googling it
But all I can find is a old advertisement

Rare little guy right there.... I've only seen a couple

On another note, is that a Eureka Model M? If yes, do you have any other old Eurekas?

Even rarer,

are the two non-electrics. The brown thing that looks like a banjo on the left is called a 'Little Witch,' and dates to the late 1800's, I believe it was made in England. The other on the upper right is a 'Star' circa 1905 and was sold through the Sears & Robuck catalog.

As for the 'Duntley,' the company was originally 'Santo and Duntley,' though I don't have dates, but believe it was in the early 1900's.

The following info might help.

The 'Santo' was made by the Keller Manufacturing company, Philidelphia, Pennsylvania in 1910. This most likely is also the Santo Duntley. There's a picture of it at Christmas of that year on Ebay. Go to Wikipedia and type in 'Santo' it will take you there.

Sunto vacuum

I have a sunto also and two of the " little witch" I acquired these at a museum sell in Oregon. I'm just trying to figure out if I should keep them

The Santo is a twin to the Lux Model I other than the difference in the logo. There must be a connection here with Electrolux.

I was under the impression that the Lux Model I was basically an improved knockoff of the Santo, but I'm not totally sure how accurate that is.

I would love to see and hear those working.

Santo also made a built-in vacuum, the "Santo Duplex" which used a diaphragm pump to create suction. Like a really large aquarium air pump. I can't imagine it worked very well.

Your units are ones I would keep, but of course if they don't do anything for you then I am sure there are others out there who would be glad to adopt them and pay for the privilege.
