I did have it on hose on my Shark Navigator Liftaway when the hose ripped and I was waiting for the replacement.

The airflow hole(s) in Dyson crevice tools are there to allow for better pickup without sticking to delicate fabrics. Putting tape over said hole(s) is just silly!

he airflow holes on crevice tools allow more airflow thru the tool to prevent the vacuum's motor from overheating vs a tool that doesn't have the extra holes.

If it shouldnt move but is meant to - wd40. If it moves and it shouldnt - duct tape...
Im always weary of duct tape on vacs. If i want it i beat the price down, one never knows what its hiding...

I've read on Wikipedia that the combination of WD-40 and duct tape is sometimes referred to as the "redneck repair kit."

I read it with a Pittsburgese accent. I hope no one is offended by what I am going to say, but we have the WORST accents! It's worse than a Boston or a New Jersey accent. A lot of people say crick instead of creek, warsh instead of wash. Walmarts instead of Walmart, Sheetzes instead of Sheetz (-_-) My favorite... Yinz or y'all's or youse guys instead of you guys...
Oh by the way, EVERYONE around here says sweeper instead of vacuum... I'm the only person that I know that knows there is big difference between vacuums and sweepers
