Greetings fellow collectors, although I am new to the forum i hope to make a somewhat decent impression. I'm 21 from MN and I collect Kirby’s/vacuums of interest. I also work at a repair shop. I however am partial to almost any kind of vacuum but Kirby would be my vac of choice. My question would be if this is the stock head for the Santronic VII series. I've seen many VI's but most have aftermarket parts and I haven’t seen any all stock models to use as a guiding point. I Any info would be greatly appreciated, I am happy to say that all my Kirby’s are all original and are not factory rebuilds and have the original parts they came with. Enclosed is a picture of my San VII that I picked up for a pittance.

Hi Andrew,

and WELCOME from another Kirby nut!

Your VII has a replacement bag and replacement belt lifter. The VII and D50 have the same basic belt lifter except that the D50 says "Dual Sanitronic" and the VII just says "Sanitronic."

The original VII bag has slightly smaller Kirby logos spaced more closely together, same as the D50.

You can see the original bag and belt lifter on the linked page.

Welcome Andrew...

I also am a Kirby nut and Charles-Richard is a great source of information.

Also the difference between the Santronic and the Dual Sanitronic is the Dual also had two speeds one for vacuuming and one for attachments.

There are a couple of models of the Sanitronic. Charles would be a better one to explain this one.

Great vacuum you have there...

David

Hi Andrew!

I love Kirbys too! Although I only have 3 of my 11 vacuums, I still love (and always have) loved the design of them. My 515 Kirby is actually a frankenvacuum. I still hope to someday get it all fixed up! Glad you are here! Have fun!
