The only thing then made with a dough hook was a Kitchen Aid or one of the European mixers like a Braun or Kenwood Chef.

I think the Sunbeam Mixmaster introduced dough hooks about that time also. I do know The Mixmasters of the early 70's came with dough hooks.

You could try the Manuals and Literature
section.
They have a '62 Dormeyer Products and Parts
list you could download for $7.
One of the products listed is a Mixer
Model SM-9-WH Formerly 19000, SM-12-CH.
I don't know if their parts list includes
optional extras or not, its too small to read
online.

I think it was in the mid 70s when the Mixmaster got dough hooks and the more powerful motor, also the front logo changed from gold and silver to woodgrain and a brown handle and dial.

I don't know much about Dormeyers other than my grandma said she had one. I saw one for $20 at an estate sale awhile back, had the bowl, beaters, reamers and grinder. I was tempted to get it but decided need no more mixers!

I have

Darn near every Dormeyer made from the 20s on, until they became Warings, and I never saw one with a dough hook, I use a Kitchenaid or Kenwood for bread.

It was about 1973/1974 my mom bought my grandmother a Mixmaster. That one had the looped dough hooks. Worked very well for making yeast bread dough.

We had fun with it the first time as the head rocked up and down. At the time didn't realize it was supposed to do that. We held the head down to finish the project. The next morning my grandmother was reading the book and discovered that is what is supposed to happen.

Before that she had a GE mixer with the speed dial on the front and 3 beaters. I loved to watch that mixer in action. No dough hooks with that machine.

Oh, yes I've seen some of those GEs with the three beaters, had a light underneath to light up the bowl too.

I have a Mixmaster with those looped hooks you're describing. Harvest gold color. Really like this mixer, though I haven't tried the dough hooks. I just use it for batters mostly, kind of overkill, but it does a great job and I like using it and seeing the bowl spin. It makes things more airy too. The date on the recipe book says 1975.
