His name was Jerry or Gerald Rubin and he always used to flaunt Miele vacuums using Consumer Reports as his backbone. He would use a particle counter and compare the Miele's filtration to every other vacuum on the market and claim they weren't trapping the dirt. I can't find his videos anymore. I remember him being bald and very salesman-like.

I have and one of the videos is still on YouTube. Actually he was no where affiliated with Consumer Reports, the videos were all done at a independent vacuum dealer store that he owned or worked at the time.

oh I remember

He also was pushing a series of re-usable vacuum bags called like a forever bag they were very similar to the ones available for Panasonic. They came in a variety of styles including Kirby

Ahhhhh

"Consumer Reporter", not Consumer Reports. Looked him up and he claims to have tested air purification systems in the Philippines. Not finding anything about his store. Reminds me of my old boss (Not in a good way).
