lol thanks EurekaFanSquid
But yeah. I kind of grew up with Eurekas, so I do have a liking to their brand (and no I'm not a fanboy - I love all vacuums! I have several Kirbys as well as a Miele too)
I think the first vacuum I remember using was the old Eureka ESP we had for cleaning the basement. I remember the smell still when the motor blew up naturally - it had a noxious rubber smell and burned carpet.
Then upstairs we had a Eureka World Vac - which I think was also a "The Boss" model? I remember being kind of afraid of it because it was so huge and loud.
Then we had a Optima for the camping trailer we bought brand new at Walmart - still have it to this day.
Now I use a Eureka Brushroll clean with Suction Seal I bought new in 2017 but it's from 2016. It was only supposed to be temporary but it became a daily driver vacuum and I used it heavily in 2017 to clean the house floor to ceiling. Also still running good. Needs a new belt though I think.
But yeah for people that are not as affluent in the bank account, Eurekas do a very good job at cleaning house - bagless or bagged. When you take care of them and maintain them properly, they will not let you down. I just picked two vacuums from the trash back in the spring - a bissell and a dirt devil. One was thrown out because someone used it to vacuum dryer lint out of the dryer and clogged it up, the other had a broken belt and someone left it sit outside in the elements for the entire year - but it's otherwise brand spanking new. The bristles stick out past the soleplate and the tools have never been touched. Just super easy fixes. They both function perfectly, and were my first garbage picked vacuums in 9 years!
