Does anyone here have this Hoover?

Lately it would appear that this particular bagless unit of Hoover is not exactly the easiest to come across, I was wondering if any collector has one, and what your thoughts are on how they are? Lately ive been looking for the one in teal.

Perhaps because you don't have one is why you have no idea how terrible that machine was. The filter clogged immediately, sending much dirt to the motor. I have seen many brought in for repair over the years, all were not worth saving. One of the worst designs for filtration. There's a reason you can't find one today.

Nobody does because their filtration is awful. The bagged variants are what you want.

My grandfather had the blue one before, he didn't own it for very long because he ended up giving it away shortly after he was gifted a green Kenmore 2621 canister. He might've kept it still if it was bagged, but the Kenmore is a much more suited vacuum for his log cabin anyways.

And one time I serviced a friend of mine's black one that belonged to her daughter, it was the TurboPower version. I liked her green Hoover Empower better.

I have a Bagless Tempo which this machine is but in Yellow. It clogs so quickly, but it's a nostalgic machine to me as it was the very vacuum I used at my first job at Fleming's Furniture when I was in High School. I fixed up a Kirby G3 to use in their store and they've used it for the last 10 years. The gave me the Tempo a year or two ago and I went through it. I've used it twice since then, but has been unused for the most part.

On par or worse than the Fold Away style of bagless? Im curious. My grandmother had a white Fold Away that lasted her for 10 years surprisingly!

On par. It was Maytag's fault.

The Fold Aways in my humble opinion were better.

How was the Fold Away a better machine despite being made by Maytag, other than the fold-down handle?

The air path on the dirt bin is upward instead on downward so it wouldn't clog up as much. Also the dirt bin seals better where not a whole lot of dust would leak out of the machine.

But still the Fold Aways were not a very good bagless design. Actually I think almost all of the bagless Hoovers by Maytag were terrible in my opinion, the only ones I thought they did got right were the Elites that LG had made for Hoover.
