I do have a Eureka Emperor, which I was told was made by Panasonic. I had always wondered if they made one with their name on it, so this must be it. Mine still works, but from what I've heard, most of them did not have long motor lives, so you don't see many around. I don't ever recall seeing them sold in stores, they might have been a vac shop model. I believe the Emperor was also sold at Montgomery Wards with the Signature badge.

Panasonic upright

I have the same or very similar upright (no atts) in back of warehouse behind cloth bag uprights from 30s-40s.May try to pull out soon and put in line for EBay.

Panasonic Upright

(Great folder above)So I moved a few older uprights and brought out the Panasonic that seems to be same as above.Very similar to the Eureka version with biggest differences being no cordwinder or adjustable handle on the Panasonic.Mine runs only on high, has color fading and no bumper. Will be on next weeks EBay along with some of my last JCPenney,Montgomery Ward and Western Auto. The Panasonic is direct air system that reminds one of a Hoover Concept but with taller fan.It is an interesting vac!
