The U2716 doesn't sound quite right to me at all. I'll try and put it as short as possible ~

So I got it a brand new motor a while back but the commy was all pitted, then I got some wet and dry sand paper (as I don't have a commy stick) to remove as much of the pits as possible. Iv'e let it run for a while (about 5 mins at a time over a period of days)

It just sounds a bit rough to me. Just doesn't sound right.

Now the U2464 ~

I know the brushroll bearings need replacing as they sound sh*t. Pardon my language :P

I know it's only 700 - 800 watts but it sounds a little "slow" to me. Maybe it's because I'm used to my 1000. And no,I didn't clean the commy this time. I did grease all the bearings.

So any help is greatly apprenticed!

Both sound okay to me, but then I haven't owned the Hoover U2716.

The brush roll on your U2476 looks like it is either bent or the bearings ends at each end might be out a bit - if you look at the first vacuum, you'll see slight movement of the bumper/hood moving up and down a bit.

One of the end caps is rusted pretty bad,so that could have something to do with it. I'll most likely nick it off the 1000 as I don't use that, that much.

Thank you for your help :)

~ Looking closely at the video, the right side seems to be bouncing up more. That's the end with the buggered end cap.
