DIY vac parts with limited tools

I made a cover for the rectifier on my modified craftsman hand vac . I used a old black and decker drill a Sony dvd -r you may say what is the dvd for well I was wondering can I cut plastic with it like an angle grinder and the answer is yes yes you can and it didn’t even ware down all that much.

The drill

I paid 10$ for it at a local swap meet in the fall .

That BD drill would be considered industrial duty today.Does it have a 3 pin grounding plug and cord?Also loved the attachment kits-made the drill act like a large "Dremel" tool.
