Today while driving to my grandmother's house I noticed a handle sticking out one of my grandma's neighbors junk pile, at first I disregarded it and thought it was just a broom handle but I drove by, I could see the whole thing and realized it was a Dirt Devil Ultra Vision! I asked my mother if we could pick it up and she said no way that thing is probably filthy, so when I got to my grandmothers house, I told her what i saw and she said we could go pick it up. So she parked on the side of the road and I ran across the street and wheeled it back to her car where I shoved it into the trunk.

When I got back to my Grandmothers house, I inspected it, and it was extremely filthy and covered with dust, sand, dog hair and dirt. My grandmother wanted it gone out of her garage but I said "Grandma, all it needs is love, lots of love" after that she agreed to let me work on it. But first she wanted me to test it to make sure it works, and surprisingly it did work! Now all I have to do is clean it up and buy a new belt for it, also I have to unclog it.

Nice find. Although your Mother shouldn't have denied you picking it up, a hobby is a hobby and should be encouraged ;)

If you give it a good spa treatment, you may be able to get a couple bucks for it on Craigslist.

By the looks of it, it has the pleated cone filter, that one should be ok, but if it has a round disc filter in the top of the dirt bin, it was right where it belonged... the garbage.

Dustin...

Not all Dirt Devils are garbage lol. My aunt had this model and worked great for years
