I found this today at GoodWill for 12 dollars, and couldn't leave without it. I have NEVER seen a red Ultra MVP with a cord rewinder before! I still need to get all the scuffs out of it, so I'm going to post a finished product picture tomorrow night. I am thinking this might be something rare?

I was wondering what that was for! I opened it up and found brand new belts, light bulbs, and air fresheners! From when it was new!
Thanks!

How awesome.... it looks great... just missing the Wedge Edge. I didn't know that DD even made one with a cord winder... at least not that long ago! You have really good luck!

It really upsets me that the edge wedge is missing, since those red ones are almost impossible to find. It took me years to find one for my other Ultra MVP. But Dirt Devil did have the Magnum MVP as well, which was basically an Ultra but had a cord rewinder, an electronic speed control, and it was blue!

Wow, I didn't know about that other model either. How do you activate the retractable cord.... is there something to press, or do you just give a gentle tug?

I e-mailed you a while back, but it may not have gone through.... you said you returned your Hoover lighweight platinum bagged upright, and I wondered what it was you didn't like about it as I had considered getting one... I think it was you :o) If you wouldn't mid sharing why you didn't like it, I'd love to hear. Thanks

There's just a button you push to retract it. I returned it because my carpet was to thick to use it on. It was just way to hard to push. But it is most definitely worth the money, in my opinion. Very easy to use, and neat looking. And it has a crazy brushroll

Yes it is!

They are pretty good at floor cleaning, but the tool suction is lousy. When you put the handle up, it activates the hose, and you have to keep the handle pushed forward really hard with one hand to get decent suction. But other than that they are pretty goood!

my parents had that same Ultra MVP, but it did not have the cord rewinder. they had it for years, and the only thing that ever broke on it was the handle release pedal. i never knew that made them with a cord rewinder.
