the model is 085300 is that a rare vacuum because I can find it on any site??

Serious: You do not really expect anyone to do the googleing (googling) for you, do you? Mind you: There is a difference between serial number and model number. Go back and check that first. (To say the least).

Im just a person wanting to know the answer to a question. I tried searchine different search engines, image searching, and just different vacuum web sites. SO I just want to know the answer.

you can still get parts on the dirt devil site, no pic though. if you dont have one id get it. older ones have been trashed long ago. got to love the red plastic dirt devils.

The reason you cannot find this model is because for whatever reason its model number was not published or known, or collectors just call it based on what it says on the vacuum. It was just known as the "Upright", "Plus", or the "Classic". Why they did that, I don't know.
It came out during the summer of 1994 and sold at a MSRP of $89.99.

As far as rarity is concerned, it depends on how often you go out looking for vacuums, and where you look for them at, as well as where you live. I can say that after collecting for 4 years, I have never seen one IRL.

Those styles are all different from my information. The soft bag with no headlight was the Lite, or earlier 5200 series. The soft bag with a headlight was the 6200 series. The hard bag with headlight used the later model number system, which has the prefix 086 generally (but technically still a 6200 series because it had the '6' after the 08 in the first 3 numbers of the model number). I don't get any info when I search 085300. But I do know that the 085 is the mid range prefix for dirt devil uprights. This would mean that possibly the model this thread refers to would be a 5200 series? Because 085, the '5' after 08 is the later model number style of 5200 series. The 300 could be a certain color variant, or could feature the addition of an attachment set or better motor. It's complicated at first but I've been analysing this type of thing in Dirt Devil for a while. I'll make a thread showing what I've found. If this conclusion with the 5200 series is right, then yes, they're at a medium level of rarity. I have an early 5200.
