I recently came across a practically mint self-propelled Windtunnel at the Goodwill for $5. Through a bit of research I've learned this Breathe Easy version was a Wal-Mart exclusive, and my example was manufactured sometime in 2010. I was really exictited to find it, since now I've owned every iteration of Hoover's self-propelled system. The Concept is still the best by far, but this is a close second.

Anyway, tonight I got out my 02-2007 Windtunnel Supreme to compare the two. The first thing I noticed was how different the motors sound. Both are insanely loud, but the Breathe Easy sounds really generic. I'm almost certain I've heard this motor in a non-Hoover product before. The performance of the the two motors are very similar, so why would they change it?  The Breathe Easy post-motor filter is also much thicker and sturdier than the Surpeme's.

What other changes did TTI make to the Windtunnel?

I still have one of those newer WindTunnels, I 'Sanforded' it (as my Mother calls it!

) From a curb years ago. The former owner must've thought it was a wet/dry model, going off the amount of corrosion in the motor!

Hoover went thru changes during this time, one WindTunnel is a genuine HOOVER, the other TTI.quite a difference there!

I like the look of the older and especially the newer Windtunnels. I like big bulky uprights like these. Waiting for a self propelled green or blue to show up at the curb. Saw one a few months back but it was all wet yet hadn't been raining. Then last weekend I saw a beige one but the handle was broken off and sitting beside it.
