I was wondering if Hoover ever made an upright with a two motor system? It seems like most every manufacturer made or makes one, but I can't recall Hoover ever having one? They were popular around the mid-90s with Eureka's Excalibur, Bissell's Plus, and Kenmore/Panasonic versions.

The "Sport Utility Vehicle" Hoover Z bagless vac had 2 motors, and the short-lived Hoover WindTunnel V2 or Savvy with the geared beltless brushrolls also had two motors, one for the suction and the second for the brush rolls....I think the bulky Hoover WindTunnel II also had 2 motors.

Two motors

I have the Hoover Wind Tunnel Air vacuum and it works very well. It has two motors, one for suction and one for the brushroll which allows you to go from carpet to bare floor by pressing the brushroll on-off switch which is located at the top of the cylinder.
