I have also been wanting to find a nice dialamatic with tools in very nice to mint condition. I like the orange and brown one that matches the orange and brown portable and constellation, also I think the 1140(blue and dark taupe I think), and 1149 (green and taupe I think). I would love to find a matching set, but I like alot of dialamatics. Someone put some hoover dealer pages on a while back and there was one I really liked, It was yellow on the front with a headlight, maybe an 1157. Also been looking for a concept II, preferably the gray electronic one, but would take the beige/maroon one. Also a celebrity QS, either the gray one or the green one, complete and with the big quadraflex pn. I posted a thread in contemporary looking for a nice lux but no luck so far. Looking for something very nice to nib from super J thru the ultralux, complete with original matching hose,attachments,etc. Let me know if any of you have any of this available. i have a DAM powerdrive that is tan and brown that ive been wanting to sell- put on cl and it didnt sell but havent tried ebay. it doesnt have the tools but its in really good shape if you are interested

Versimaric vs Dial-a-matic

Does anyone who has a hoover dial-a-matic also have a winsor versamatic in their collection?
I've for a while wanted to see the two up against each other.
To make things a little more fair, I prefer the dial- a-matic with a manual height adjudtment but if not, no biggie.
Speaking of dial-a-matic height adjustments, mine the lever slips when in the storage/tool use position, but not in the floor vacuuming position, any tips on how to fix that?

kirbyeureka95, Is the celebrity you were talking about the yellow one? I have been looking for that same decade for a long time too. I also need a eureka F&G styl upright. I recently bought a nib white attachment set for them, but I dont have the vac,lol. I would like one with a headlight, or one similar to yours. I like the ones with the vents in the top of the hood too. We had a baby blue one like that when I was little. Let me know if you decide to get rid of the decade and if you have any shampooers you might want to sell, either lux, hoover, or kenmore. The foam rotary brush type like in your pic.
