Today I got my first dial-a-matic. It is an 8 out of 10 overall. It's a groovy orange colour. The thrift store was getting rid of it because it was missing it's bottom plate that you latch on. I imagine if I go to a vac shop they are not going to have one of these. So I'll appeal to all of you experts as to where one could get it. Any ideas? Any spare parts collectors?

Also, the handle is sorta wobbly. I tried tightening the flat head screw behind the cord wrap, but it didn't work. Any advice?

welcome to the world of the DAM! dont dismiss the vac shops! if you live in a small town, call the surrounding cities. if you find a shop that has been around a few years, i bet theyd have a used part to provide. ive found many good parts by calling shops, even out of state.

Well funny that you say that! I tried that very thing today and was successful! The store even had a second hand hose, two wands and a dusting tool.

Thanks Dave!
