Well it effectively clogs the Kirby so much faster than a bag!

The only advantage is you can see the dirt!

I can go down to our local Big W (Your Wal-Mart) and buy a cheap Hoover upright for about the same cost in AUD and have less issues.

I'm REALLY confused here!

Jim, you said: 'I prefer to get patient [sic] pending on this type of item as it affords a better type of protection.'

However, according to the US Patent Office:

'Some persons mark articles sold with the terms 'Patent Applied For' or 'Patent Pending'. These phrases have no legal effect, but only give information that an application for patent has been filed in the Patent and Trademark Office.

The protection afforded by a patent does not start until the actual grant of the patent. False use of these phrases or their equivalent is prohibited.'

--------------------------------------------------------------

See why I'm confused? 'Patent pending' does not offer 'a better type of protection'. It offers no protection whatsoever, and use of this phrase where a patent has not been applied for is a criminal offence!

Have you applied for a patent for this specific Kirby bagless conversion system, or not?

CUSTOMERS LOVE THE BAGLESS CONVERSION

RE:shanonabc My customers are not looking to go to a wal mart and buy a cheap piece of junk. They have already spent between $1500.00 and $2000.00 on a wonderful Kirby. I am just giving them a way to not have to spend another $1000.00 over the life of the Kirby on the very expensive hard to get bags. Yes they have to empty it each time but the savings can be great if you have shedding pets. I filled a bag every 3 to 5 days, you do the math. I know you don't like capitols but I'm going to yell this. THEY BUY IT TO SAVE MONEY, excuse me for yelling, I'm starting to get use to this computer lingo. They buy it to save money. Why is that so hard to understand. Jim Keeler

Well why would they want to ruin the suction of the machine (and warranty) with this contraption?

And I do like capitals... But there is a time and a place.

For example, maybe ONE word in a sentence to emphasise it but not a whole post!

re Vintagehoover: The patient pending is good when one has been and applied for the simple reason that if a person copies your invention while it is pending and a patient is granted, you own them.I am not going to talk with you about this information because I do not trust you. The only reason you would want to know this information is to try and copy my bagless conversion. I have been doing this for 29 years and I know when someone is up to something. Don't ask again. You are realy starting to look bad. Jim

I am pretty sure Jack has better things to do with his time...

I know I do... Sock drawer here I come!

"pricey 4 home made, plastic covering hole is cheap, fragile needs improvement" AJBridge

"i'm sure it will save money on bags I'm still not sure about it's quality" neilsonh

So, bagless whatever filter cup thingy aside.....

I could care less about the dirt cup thing. I'm interested in seeing these self-propelled mechanisms...

But...

When one goes to do a patent search on the Google Patents website:

And one enters the last name "Keeler" in either the 'inventor' or 'assignee' fields, and one also enters the word "vacuum" in the field 'find results with all of the words,' ... and the two boxes 'issued patents' and 'applications' are selected next to Document Status ... not one thing comes back.

Since I can't seem to find it, would you mind pointing me in the right direction?

Listen you,(keeler)

I think it is DESPICABLE that YOU are saying that Jack(a vacuum EXPERT)'s "numbers and words mean nothing". As for criticising people that know more about vacuums than you, I think that is (pardon my French) is complete and utter bullshit! In regards to you belittling Shannon just because he doesn't like your product, THAT is rude and uncalled for. We are allowed to have a different opinion than you! Just because you say your product, an idea NOT an invention, is the best does not I repeat does NOT mean it is the best there is! It may work well the first few uses, but after that little filter gets clogged up, BOOM! there goes the power of the vac. Bags, in my, and many other's opinion, are the best, have always been the best, and always will be the best. A machine designed for the use of bags should STAY that way! If it was meant to be baglee, it would have benn DESIGNED bagless. Again, I think it is TERRIBLE that you come in here out of nowhere, start saying your crappy dustcup kit os the best thing since sliced bread and start belittling those whose opinion differs.
I have absolutely NOTHING more to say in this thread.

Paranoid much?

Jim, if I wanted to copy your bagless contraption, I'd need a Kirby hose-end, a dirt bin, a glue-gun, and a spare 5 minutes after lunch.

Why Fred Stachnik! I'm SHOCKED you would take his idea!!

LMAO
I'm VERY interested to read mr bagless-kirbys-are-the-future's response to all this. How about you Jack and Shannon?

MATT!!!!

SHHH!!!!

You are spoiling my cover!!!!!

Forget Radix Cyclone & Intermediary Cyclone! I want "clog the filter up" dust bin!

Please... Don't blow my cover again ;)
