Could someone do me a favor and post a vid of a lewyt 55 or 44 on youtube? THeyre some of my favorite vacs but ive never heard one run.

The first vacuum I remember as a little kid was a Lewyt Big Wheel, metallic green with a white lid and white wall tires.

I'm going to be listing my Lewyt 44 on ebay. I just made a great video of it running, so I could attach that to the auction. I'll let you know when it's up on eBay. The model 44 was still the filter cone design they stole from filter queen. Now that was a lawsuit.

Lewyt and lawsuit seemed to go hand in hand. You also have one of those Lewyt Zappers ( Model 112 ??? ) if memory serves.

I nicknamed Lewyts to "the lawsuits" . They look like very nice machines though.

I do have one, and I have taken it apart to put it up on eBay. I know there are people who need the electric hose. There are people who need the power nozzle. There are people who need the electric extension wands.

That makes sense. I like keeping machines complete, however, this way everyone gets a complete machine.

And the shipping isn't so expensive for just one part. Sending complete machines is outrageously expensive today.
