I've cleaned it up and although not quite as good as new, it looks pretty good, I think.

The only problem now is that part of the handle release system is broken. There's a small guide roller which is meant to interlock with the release mechanism. It's been broken so that the only thing holding the handle upright is a small stub from the rivet which once held the roller. Any ideas on how to replace the roller or fix it up in some way? For the moment, I'm being very careful how I carry the machine so as not to put too much strain on the little bit of metal that's left.

Nice one mate

Looks in good condition. The bag looks to be somewhat different to those we had in the UK, although from todays POD not unlike American. Two points - watch out for the hood as they are prone to distortion (the British ones anyway) and be careful of storing the cleaner with the flex tightly wound, as the points when it goes over teh clips can be very prone to cracking & perishing - I store all my cleaners with the flex loosley coiled
