Coronavirus (COVID-19)

I'm glad you didn't have to chase after your "latter".  Next time just make sure to fasten the top to something on the roof.

A good friend of mine is an EMS person.

He's around COVID a lot. He had a heart attack a few yrs ago. I asked him if he was getting the vaccine. He said, "No". 2 weeks later, he emailed me: "I have COVID. It's AWFUL". He's on the mend now.
Being a teacher, we should be getting the shots soon. We'll see.
I feel my supermarket is cleaner now than it ever was before. There are spray, towels, etc at the entrances, etc. There are wipes for the carts, etc. I'm not reckless or fearful, just careful. I have masks everywhere, sanitizer, etc. WE MUST wipe down the desks, etc after each class (we have 2 in-person days).
I'm careful. With the vaccine finally getting 'out there' , it would be a shame to get sick now. after all of this.
So, just be careful and do what we're supposed to do. All will get better.

When your number is up.

Brandon, why am I picturing a roulette wheel at the door with a red carpet, buffet, and hookers nearby this clinic?

I got my first shot (Pfizer) Thursday evening at a FEMA mass vaccination site staffed by Air Force personnel. Everything was very efficiently run. No ill effects other than a slightly sore arm yesterday.

Be warned

The FIRST one is usually uneventful.

It's after the wait when you get the SECOND one that there is a good chance you'll
get sicker than you've ever been for about 24 hours
and/or
suffer mental haze

And then you have to wait longer to be considered fully vacs'd

But just remember according to experts in the field, at this point there is no vaccine that is 100% effective at preventing Covid.

I got my first dose of vaccine on Thursday. Second one on April 1st.

No reaction other than my arm was slightly sore. Hopefully the second shot will be the same. Most folks I know that have received the shot have not had any reaction. Some have had a tired feeling or slightly upset stomach. Still better than getting Covid.

Gee, Greg! I've had BOTH of my shots and had No "after effects." Nurse who administered my shot said only about 25% of those getting 2nd shot have any effects. I know only one friend who has had any problems...

From what I've heard, whatever one gets after the 2nd shot only lasts about 24 hrs.

I'm in no hurry to get the vaccine until it has a better track record.

I will be wearing a mask when around people for at least the next two years. It's not a problem.

I got my first Covid vaccination today (Moderna).

I actually cried a little. Not because it hurt (not at all) but because I was so relieved to finally get it, and it was just on a fluke.

I came to the pharmacy to get a prescription filled and the pharmacist asked if I had had my Covid vaccine yet. And, as the cliché goes, "The rest is history."

A few hours afterward I still feel okay. My arm is a tiny bit sore but that's all.
