This vac was made in Korea for the German Karcher company. Cool sleek power nozzle!

There was an era when East Asian vac-makers offered "dust mite killing" modes on their machines. I think the vacs basically killed the dust mites in the bag with heat....weird.

I love this cleanerphile's vacuum videos! Bravo to you if you are reading this my friend!!! Keep up the good work and we'll all nominate you for an Academy Award! :-)

I think

that it uses a UV-C lamp on the nozzle to basically blast any pests (dust mites, bed bugs, bacteria, etc) with ultraviolet radiation and then suck them into a HEPA bag. That was the case, anyways, with the Halo vacuum cleaner from several years back. I'm not really sure how it works, to be honest. Kinda neat.

It doesn't work, Oreck got slammed when they could no longer advertise the Halo as a dust-mite-killing machine! They still sold them for awhile, just without telling people about that great purple light! I have a Halo, and while the light does look cool, it isn't very effective! I don't even remember if the one on mine worked! The Halo is like a plastic (modern) Kirby, it's big and bulky, but looks cool! If you ever happen upon one, buy it! They're getting rare! I rarely see them now,I remember when the original Halo was still on sale at my local Sears!

"You want a Halo!?"someone yelled as I got out of th

---at a yard sale last weekend.Well I didn't.I wanted the nice F&G Eureka I saw when I slammed on the brakes. But they both followed me home for very little money. And I still don't want the Halo that remains unchecked in the Roadmaster.(It looks OK and complete.)If YOU want a Halo watch my EBay (leisurelady65) over the next week or two as it should be on with a reasonable starting bid.

My local vacuum store

Has a bunch of halos in the back bought them from our Sears after they where dropped. Hasn't sold many but always keeps on out on display.
