How do I remove the armature on a U4423 Convertible so that I can grease the bottom bearing? I thought that it simply pulled out once the fan was removed and with the top bearing taken off as well but it seems fairly well stuck in there. Also, does the top bearing need any sort of grease or lubrication?

Thanks in advance!

DO not grease the top bearing, just clean it real good. As far as the bottom one. if you have everything off including the fan and all the little spacers and it still won't come out, then lightly spray it with WD-40 at the fan end let it set for a few minutes, then take a RUBBER hammer or something soft not to damage the threds but hard enough to drive it out. Make sure the contact part of the armature is protected with like a sock or something because when you drive that baby out it will fall and might scratch it when it hits the floor. GOODLUCK!!!!!!!!
