CONVENTION 2013 MILWAUKEE

VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

Shelley.......

The club event is not open to the general public. We have done that in the past and the results have warranted doing it again. We may try to have some local news coverage.

Most of the general public does not, "get us", initially, and we don't mind folks laughing with us, but, not at us. Also, sometimes when the general public and even hotel employees are allowed in, "things", sometimes mysteriously disappear.

The group this year is going to be so large in number that our space would be cramped with others than our members and their guests.

Thanks Charlie

Charlie,

Thanks for answering my question.

I had thought about driving up to Milwaukee just to take a look see at some of the vacs on display as its on a 45 minute drive from where I'm located.

However, due to having 4 Great Danes I wouldn't have been able to stay more then a hour befor heading back home to take care of my dogs.

Have a great time everyone.

All throughout the year, I accumulate

bojack vacuum bags, unintentionally. I save them up to bring to the convention. Most of them I put on the free table. I sometimes take something form that table. So, I figure: if I take something, I SHOULD give something. These are bags I'll NEVER use. I even have some bags for other species. They'll go in the bag as well.

Aaron.........

The night of the banquet, we have our own cash bartender in one of the connecting rooms. So, never fear, booze is near.

The other nights.............well, your on your own babe!

(Just a reminder, drunken out of control behavior does not bode well.) Just enjoy and be responsible. This is meant for all members.

In anticipation of Helen's arrival, I have ordered a case of Aqua-Net, a triple-trailer of bourbon, two cartons of Pall Malls, and a 22 year-old towel boy named Sven. Did I forget anything?? - JAL

John,

Please include the following: cigarette holder, tiara, turban and sunglasses. Probably of supply of pens for autographs would be good too. Do you have an extra pair of spring-a-lators? Mine are in for repair.

I do have a 27 CD set of Disconet mixes from 1977 to about 1985 so music is taken care of. They just arrived from London yesterday.

Last thing, save all your small juice cans for hair rolling! I'll have my Lady Sunbeam portable dryer but never have enough cans for rolling.

Thanks for asking and see you soon!

Luckily

Milwaukee is an easy drive from St. Charles. Otherwise I would have to take my plane. I asked Helen to arrange through her connections to get me a plane as sleek, fast and large as hers. When I arrived at the airport, this is what I found. A refurbished 1954 Vickers Viscount turboprop. She even arranged for the livery. That's the last time she's shopping for me.
