Hello my darling! Sorry not to respond sooner to your other posts but between the whoop-de-do at Tarantula Arms and my flying schedule and trying to get some rest...........well, time gets by.

I'm so glad y'all will be coming to Milwaukee. Just about two weeks ago, Tania, Duane and I did a walk through with the hotel and it is great. It will serve the club and the convention very well.

We are anticipating a nice size crowd and we feel we have put together a nice event encompassing Tania and Duane's collections. It will be great to see you both and I am counting down the days along with Duane's counter in an earlier post.

My best,
Charlie

Hi,
I am planning on coming. Is there anyone from the Green Bay area attending? I hate to drive alone.

This is my first time. Are there any good vacs for sale at these meets? I am looking for a couple.

I will send my $ and registration soon. i like to party. Are there any party people at these events?

Party People?

John Chan, we invented the term, "Party People"! (They always tell me I had a good time.........)

There are going to be great vacuums for sale. I am bringing a near mint Hoover Dimension 1000 for the raffle, (we have a raffle too), that belonged to a dear deceased member, Terry Lattz. I am also bringing a NIB Filter Queen 31 with power nozzle that has been used in my house less than 5 times. Due to age, I did replace the brush roll and belt. It is a beauty and WILL be for sale!

If I have enough room, I may bring a NIB Lux upright in gold that matched the Golden J with a supply of bags and it WILL be for sale!

I know of others but don't want to let the cat out of the bag. You should plan to attend and see everything first hand. It is an experience you will not forget!

Charlie

PS--Thanks John for the update on the PA delegation! See you in June.

You read correctly.

An organized Convention like this is certainly not free.

The $75.00 Registration FEE for members, same for guests of members, for 4 days, some banquette meals and other included events is a relative bargain but these days Hotels with suitable convention facilities are expensive even at $99 + tax a night. But once you arrive there's free parking and wireless internet and free run of the Hotel facilities like the pool, jacuzzi, gym (if you can find the time in a jam-packed schedule beginning at 8:30 AM until midnite, nightcaps and bedtime).
Ancillary expenses are some meals not included, road tolls if you take that fast route and of course, gasoline costs if you drive.
It takes a certain commitment and financial wherewithal to attend a convention and I would never be able go unless I could drive myself and enjoy the vacation journey.
