Hi Folks!
So, I bought a Hoover Convertible Estate Earlier in the year. I really didnt care for it. I gave it to my grandmother who wanted a spare vacuum since she gave me her old Kenmore. Now, I want to buy a Convertible, but a real one, not like the plastic one I had. Any Thoughts?
Thanks!

There Are Many to Choose From!!!

I assume when you say "a real one" that you mean a metal-based model. They are no doubt some of the best cleaners out there. And someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think most of them clean pretty much the same way so it would come down to your choice of colour and whether you wanted a headlight. The earlier models had a problem with the plastic hoods warping from the heat off of the motor though. There seems to always be several on eBay at any given time.

Those machines are metal base machines with a plastic hood, imho they were a little bulkier than the other convertibles but still a well made solid machine. I have had the u4101 convertible "elite" model also known as your estate. I upgraded it to a CWP brushroll and loved the way it cleaned carpets. As far as the kenmore goes, I own the same machine, true workhorse and not bad as far as power and versatility goes.

The 62 is a Great-Cleaning Vac as Well!

Its a pre-Convertible model, but you'll probably find that it cleans better than a Convertible. Its also bigger.
